Current Role at LMI
Kathy Staats serves as a Senior Public Health Policy Specialist at LMI, a position she has held since 2021. In this role, she focuses on public health policy development and implementation, contributing to various initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes. Previous Experience in Public Health
Before joining LMI, Kathy Staats worked at Tri-County Health Department as a Prevention & Policy Specialist from 2018 to 2021. She was part of the COVID response team at a local public health agency in the eastern Denver Metro area for a year and a half. Additionally, she held positions at the University of Wisconsin-Extension as an Outreach Specialist and at the American Lung Association as a Program Coordinator.
Education and Expertise
Kathy Staats earned her Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she studied from 2013 to 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, completed from 2007 to 2011. Her educational background equips her with the knowledge and skills necessary for her work in public health policy.
