During this time, he gained four years of experience managing projects for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). He also briefly served as a Senior Chemist at Pepco Holdings in 2020, where he contributed to environmental and chemical analysis initiatives.

Youmin Hu played a role in Operation Warp Speed, where he assisted in the expansion of U.S. industrial manufacturing for medical supplies.
