Founder & Managing Partner; Longbow Capital Partners, a leading alternative manager specializing in public debt and equity investments in the utility, power, renewable energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. Longbow’s flagship funds (peak assets of $1.5 Billion) and market neutral portfolio construction have generated consistent, differentiated risk-adjusted returns in all market environments since inception. Prior to founding Longbow, Terry was a Partner at Goldman Sachs & Co. and a member of the Equity Capital Markets Group with responsibilities for the firm’s energy, power, infrastructure, industrial and convertibles/derivatives practices. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Fitzgerald spent sixteen years at Salomon Brothers and its successor, Salomon Smith Barney, serving ultimately as Managing Director and Co-Head of Global Equity Capital Markets. In this capacity he built and managed the strategic, advisory, risk management, and professional development aspects of one of the Firm’s largest revenue centers. Terry has received numerous awards from Institutional Investor, International Financing Review and citations in the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Report(s) for professional and industry contributions, including the creation of the Salomon/Fidelity Investments Distribution Alliance, and his role in the creation of many new financial products, including mandatory convertible securities (now a $200 billion asset class). Terry has been actively involved in sustainable agriculture and land preservation for over 20 years both as a board member of several leading Connecticut land trusts and as the architect of Greyledge Farm, LLC, a leading regional purveyor of all natural beef. Mr. Fitzgerald is also a member of the Advisory Board of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and the Board of Directors of the National Rowing Foundation. Terry earned a B.S. degree from Georgetown University and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
