About Oli Bage
Oli is Distinguished Engineer and Head of Architecture for the Data & Analytics division of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), one of the world’s largest providers of data, insights and technology to financial markets. Oli joined LSEG in 2021 on the completion of its acquisition of Refinitiv, the Financial and Risk division of Thomson Reuters, where Oli previously led Business & Data Architecture. Between 1998 and 2020 Oli held multiple technology and data leadership positions at Morgan Stanley. Most recently he was the Distinguished Engineer in Morgan Stanley’s Center of Excellence for Data and chaired the investment bank’s architecture committee. In 2020 Oli created and co-chaired the Cloud Data Management Capabilities (CDMC) initiative, an industry group of 100 systemically important banks, large cloud service providers, emerging data technology companies and professional services partners. The group released a common, open framework of capabilities, best practices and automated controls for handling sensitive datasets on cloud in September 2021. So far AWS, Microsoft, Google and Snowflake have announced CDMC certification. In 2024 CDMC created an extension for managing AI, Data & Analytics Controls called ADAC and worked on Data Product definitions with OMG/EKGF’s DPROD group. Oli is a passionate supporter of the emerging technology ecosystem, regularly hosting the London Enterprise Technology Meetup and making angel investments through the OperAngels group. Oli holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
