Alexandre Pernin serves as the Cofounder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at malibou, a position he has held since 2023. He operates on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the technological direction of the company and ensuring the successful implementation of its technical strategies.
Previous Experience in Software Engineering
Prior to his current role, Alexandre worked at Theodo as a Software Engineer from 2020 to 2022. He later advanced to the position of Tech Lead at Theodo, where he worked from 2022 to 2023. His experience in software engineering has contributed to his technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
Educational Background in Mathematics and Economics
Alexandre holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from CentraleSupélec, where he studied from 2013 to 2017. He also obtained a Master's degree in APE from the Paris School of Economics, studying from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, he studied Finance at ESCP Business School in 2015. His educational background provides a strong foundation in quantitative analysis and economic principles.

Alexandre's early career includes various internships that provided him with diverse experience. He worked as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager Assistant Intern at Banque de France in 2015, a Junior Auditor Intern at EY from 2015 to 2016, and a Business Development Intern at VINCI Energies UK & RoI in 2016. These roles contributed to his understanding of finance and business operations.
Entrepreneurial Experience and Data Science
In addition to his technical roles, Alexandre co-founded Lantern in 2019, where he served as a Data Scientist for seven months. He also worked as a freelance Data Scientist from 2019 to 2020. His entrepreneurial experience, combined with his data science skills, has equipped him with a unique perspective on technology and business.
