J.K. McAndrews, CLU is the President and Chief Executive Officer of MassMutual Greater Houston, a general agency of Massachusetts Life Insurance Company, (MassMutual). Presently MMGH enjoys being recognized as one of the fastest growing agencies in the MassMutual system. The firm has received numerous national awards from Mass Mutual including the prestigious “Chairman’s Trophy” in 2003, and again in 2007, 2010 and 2011 . During Mr. McAndrews tenure as President, he has increased the number of professional advisors in MassMutual's Houston operations from 33 to more than 100 as well as increasing annual revenues generated by MMGH operations from $1.4 million to just shy of $6 million for yearend 2011. MassMutual Greater Houston ranks 18th among Houston’s largest money management firms according to the Houston Business Journal’s (HBJ) annual “Book of Lists”, with over $1.6 billion in assets under management and also enjoys the ranking of 6th largest stockbrokerage firm in Houston with over 100 financial advisors. In addition SFG continues to receive recognition as one of Houston’s “Best Places To Work” according to surveys conducted by the HBJ J.K. began his career in financial services in his home town of Corpus Cristi. In 1990, Mr. Mc Andrews took on the challenges of sales management by helping others around him achieve similar levels of success. In December 0f 2001, J.K. assumed the title of General Agent of the MassMutual office in Houston, Texas. Mr. McAndrews also believes in helping the new generation of entrepreneurs and to that extent he and MassMutual Greater Houston have embraced the University Of Houston, Bauer School Of Business and are members of the Bauer Society Circle of Honor.
