Joshua Jenson's career began in 1993 as a Certified Public Accountant at various CPA firms, where he worked for four years. At the age of 25, he established his own CPA practice, following a plan crafted with his late Grandad, Omar Abbott Slayter, CPA. His practice specializes in serving businesses and individuals in the service and real estate industries. Four years ago, he expanded his practice to include life and disability income insurance services.

Joshua Jenson became a national speaker for Surgent CPE in 2018, conducting approximately 25 tax seminars annually for CPAs across the country. He also writes and presents a monthly tax webinar for Surgent titled 'Trending in Tax with JJ THE CPA'. In addition to his speaking engagements, he co-hosts Surgent's podcast 'The Surge'. Jenson published his first book in 2019, 'JJ THE CPA Here,' which covers the top 60 questions from his clients over the last 27 years, and plans to publish his second book, 'Cracking the CPA Code,' in 2020 to help professionals build profitable relationships with CPAs.
