Professional Experience in Digital Operations
Prior to her current role, Marissa Gomez held multiple senior positions at MassMutual. She was the Senior Regional Director of Digital Operations for the Enterprise Technology Experience Group from 2020 to 2021 in the Greater Phoenix Area. She also served as the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives in Digital Operations Underwriting from 2017 to 2020, and as Senior Director of Insurance Operations from 2015 to 2017, both in the Greater Phoenix Area.
Lean Six Sigma and Operations Expertise
Marissa Gomez has a strong background in lean methodologies and operations management. From 2012 to 2015, she was the Continuous Improvement Leader for the US Insurance Group Operations at MassMutual in Phoenix, Arizona. She further developed her expertise as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Consultant and Senior Accountant in Claims Financial at The Hartford from 2007 to 2012 in Hartford, Connecticut.

Marissa Gomez has made significant community and professional contributions through her initiatives at MassMutual. She pioneered the Association of Latinos at MassMutual and Allies (ALMMA), Phoenix chapter, and spearheaded the Leadership, Engagement, Accountability, and Development (LEAD) Council. Additionally, she played a key role in supporting the establishment of operations for a new West Coast enterprise, contributing to national business growth. She also co-engineered a virtual problem-solving 'E-board', for which she received a patent.
