Logie also held a position as Special Assistant in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the US Department of Health and Human Services from 1995 to 1998.

Allison Logie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Northwestern University, where she studied from 1986 to 1990. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from Georgetown University, completing her studies from 1993 to 1995.
