He also had a brief stint as a Finance Manager at MAXIMUS Inc in 2007 and worked as a Senior Financial Consultant at Lumenos Inc (part of the Wellpoint group of companies) from 2003 to 2007. He played a crucial role in migrating in-house back office systems to AWS cloud, which improved system efficiency and scalability. He also implemented the Cognos Controller for global financial reporting and revamped payroll systems as part of a broader transformation initiative.
Notable Projects and Initiatives
During his tenure at MAXIMUS, Vino Babu has been involved in several key projects. He developed and implemented a TM1 forecasting system that replaced the traditional Excel-based process, integrating it with Costpoint and Salesforce for better accuracy. He also piloted the Hyland - IA connect project to automate AP invoice approvals, which was later replaced by the Coupa procure-to-pay solution. Furthermore, he ensured compliance with SOX and maintained the effective operation of internal controls within the financial systems.
