Previous Roles and Experience
Before joining Mersana, Mohan Bala was the Chief Operating Officer at Constellation Pharmaceuticals. He has also held significant leadership roles at TESARO as VP, Development Program Lead, and at renowned companies such as Sanofi, GlaxoSmithKline, and Centocor. These roles have provided him with extensive experience in market access, health economics, and launch planning.
Education and Academic Background
Mohan Bala earned his B.Tech from IIT Madras before obtaining both an M.B.A and a Ph.D. in management science from the University of Chicago. His academic credentials are further solidified by his contribution as a co-author of over 50 peer-reviewed articles in medical and economics journals.
Achievements in Oncology Product Launches
Mohan Bala has played a pivotal role in launching seven oncology products globally. His involvement in multiple successful Biologics License Applications (BLAs) and Marketing Authorization Applications (MAAs) underscores his capability in steering products from development to market successfully.
