About Brett Pailet
A business-savvy lawyer with a background in product development (adtech/fintech). I currently am serving as a Product Lawyer for Meta in the ads division. I am privileged to work with some of the smartest people on the planet as we navigate some of the most challenging industry hurdles with engineering grace and a sprinkling of artificial intelligence. I also provide general legal and startup consulting and advisory services, focused on SaaS and "API-friendly" companies. I most recently founded a consumer-focused, web-based technology company that provides streamlined, revenue-generating solutions to complex business coordination problems by concentrating heavily on the end-user experience. Previously, I was General Counsel for a mid-market adtech company, an Associate for a large (international) law firm, and (before law school) a software consultant for a mid-market fintech company. I enjoy fast-paced, high-risk environments where I am exposed to new information and industries, allowed to roll up my sleeves, get into the weeds, and feel like I am quickly contributing as much as possible to the enterprise. I have no problems managing multiple (or even unrelated) projects or working under pressure without sacrificing quality. My goal is always to maximize the value of the enterprise in creative, practical, and sustainable ways. I received a JD from Cornell and an MS in Applied Economics from Florida State University. I am admitted to practice in New York. I was privileged to be featured in Vanguard during my time at adMarketplace: https://www.vanguardlawmag.com/case-studies/brett-pailet-admarketplace/
