About Leroy Jacob Vargis
I graduated with a Master's in CS, and have 2+ years of experience in software engineering. I have primarily focused on full stack development, but have interests in Cloud Computing and Data Engineering as well. As Software Engineer at Spektra Systems, I worked on the design & development of a SaaS platform for hosting cloud workshops at scale. I was involved in all aspects - from architecting solutions and software development using a tech stack consisting of Angular/ASP .NET C#/SQL on a cloud architecture. I was involved with mobile app development with Ionic/Cordova as well.During my Master's at ASU, I interned as a Front-end engineer, where I was involved with developing features and maintaining the web app of a cyber-security platform. I was able to contribute heavily towards re-implementing authentication and access control as well as work on updating the tech stack to Angular 8.At ASU, I was involved in research projects - one of which was on the FFAR project under the Industrial Assessment Center. As Software Architect in that team, I was involved with architecting cloud solutions for a supply chain platform in addition to developing pipelines for automated data collection, transformation and ingestion with AWS.
