About Chris S.
I am a sales executive providing consulting services to federal customers and partners within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and United States Postal Service (USPS). I answer the question, “how can we do more with our technology around Microsoft’s vast products and cloud services?” I’m characterized as a “wall breaker” for my persistent efforts to achieve results no matter the obstacle. I am passionate about my role, specifically when collaborating with a strong team of intelligent architects, consultants, engineers, partners, and customers. I encourage my colleagues to think big, act with empathy, and focus on customer outcomes. What I find most challenging is rarely the technology, but the adoption and application of it, the political landscape, and producing results amidst unforeseen obstacles. This is not unique to my organization. We all face these challenges, and you may agree that growth is achieved in the journey. I thrive in this space of adversity. Every “win” is unique. A “win” is not only defined by a sale, but by stories of progress throughout the process. It brings me great joy to see others learn and grow as we push for more accountability and productivity. Prior to Microsoft, I managed a $1B+ IDIQ with partners at DRS Defense Solutions. Before then, I supported the White House in both network and data center management roles. Those experiences ultimately led me to Microsoft supporting their federal business in various capacities. This journey built my passion for leading people and aligning skillsets to achieve common goals. Family is the root of my “why”. I want to steer their course of life and offer them endless opportunities to choose their own path without limitations. When I’m not at work, I love to spend time with them - often at a practice, helping to coach, or travelling with them to games or gymnastic meets. I also enjoy physical exercise, anything outdoors, and reading. I love learning new things and pushing myself daily both mentally and physically. “You can have results or excuses. Not both.” One of the famous quotes I like to live on a daily basis. I turned my disciplined framework into a 90-day planner for all to leverage. I'm extremely passionate about continuing to learn and grow and enjoy helping others around me grow.
