At Mind, Alex managed the Buddy Support Volunteer Service, overseeing the recruitment and training of volunteers. Notably, Alex played a key role in securing over £300K in funding through successful bids, which ensured the continuation of essential services.

Alex has successfully organized national media coverage for Active Minds, including features on BBC Match of the Day and BBC Radio 2. These efforts ensured appropriate representation for Mind and its partners, enhancing public awareness of mental health issues. Additionally, Alex commissioned a production company to create a promotional film aimed at attracting potential funders for Active Minds, showcasing the importance of mental health initiatives.
