Professional Experience
Barbara Mutabazi has a diverse professional background. She worked at the British Council as a Creative Enterprise Associate from 2018 to 2021 in Kampala, Uganda. Prior to that, she served as the Country Manager for SPRING Accelerator from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, she held leadership roles at AfriLabs Foundation, serving as both Board Member and Board Chair from 2014 to 2017. She is also the Founder of Women In Technology Uganda and Co-Founder of HIVE COLAB, both based in Kampala.
Education and Expertise
Barbara Mutabazi has an extensive educational background. She is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, expected to complete in 2024. She holds a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Salford, obtained in 2018. Additionally, she earned a postgraduate qualification in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute in 2011 and a First Degree in Business Computing from Makerere University in 2008.

Barbara Mutabazi has received several accolades for her contributions to technology and leadership. She was recognized as a 2017 Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Mandela Washington Fellow. In 2014, she received the Anita Borg Institute Change Agent Award for her impact on the lives of girls and women in STEM fields.
