About Erik Hoppin

As a Financial Advisor within The Oaktide Group at Morgan Stanley’s Rochester, New York office, Erik oversees and coordinates the financial affairs for a select group of families and businesses in the Rochester area and throughout the country. Erik works primarily with fiduciaries, high-net worth individuals, affluent families, retirees, successful business owners and their related companies, and corporate executives who value the strategic approach and resources he and his team brings to the relationship. Erik rejoined Morgan Stanley in 2015 and currently has twenty four years of financial services experience. He takes a highly customized approach to addressing the investment needs of his clients while being relentless in his focus on risk-adjusted performance relative to his clients’ long-term goals. He brings warmth, compassion, and coordination to wealth management that clients’ find distinctive. Erik is skilled in diverse markets across multiple asset classes, encompassing both domestic and international markets, as well as traditional and alternative investments (private equity, private real estate, private credit, cryptocurrencies and hedge funds). Clients’ lifestyle needs, cash-flow requirements, and wealth preservation goals are the foundation of his work. Erik begins by asking what matters to the families he serves, and never stops asking that question. He believes strongly that “success” has many definitions and strives to be a critical resource for families as they pursue engaged and fulfilled lives. Erik is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Business Management. Active in his community, Erik gives back by serving on the board of the St. John’s Home Foundation.
