Ahmed El Maadawy currently serves as the Cyber Security Team Leader at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) since 2023. Prior to this role, he worked as a Senior Information Security Engineer from 2021 to 2023 and as an Information Security Engineer from 2019 to 2021, both in Cairo, Egypt. His tenure at NBE has focused on enhancing the bank's cybersecurity posture and implementing robust information security measures.
Previous Experience in Cybersecurity and IT
Before joining NBE, Ahmed held various positions in the IT and cybersecurity sectors. He worked at Made In Egypt (MIE) as an Industry Team Leader from 2015 to 2018. He also served as an Operational Systems Support Engineer at EY for 9 months in 2018 to 2019. Additionally, he gained experience as an IT Engineer at Radisson Blu for 9 months in 2016 and participated in training programs at TIEC in 2014 and 2015.

Ahmed El Maadawy earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, completing his studies from 2009 to 2015. He plans to pursue ISACA certifications to further enhance his qualifications in the information security field.
