Jeff Carrico has served as the Lead for Operations and Investigational Drug/Device Research at the National Institutes of Health since 2020. Previous Roles in Clinical Research
Before his current role at the National Institutes of Health, Jeff Carrico held several positions in clinical research and pharmacy. He worked as the Investigational Drug Service Coordinator at the University of Chicago Hospitals from 2009 to 2015. He also served as Clinical Research Pharmacist Coordinator at the University of Kentucky Surgery Research Program for nine months in 2000-2001. Additionally, he was involved in various roles at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, including Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services.

In addition to his role at the National Institutes of Health, Jeff Carrico is an Assistant Professor in the Adjunct Series at George Washington University’s School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has held this position since 2016, contributing to the academic community through teaching and mentoring students in the field of pharmacy and health sciences.
