Throughout his career, Scott Flemming has achieved several notable accomplishments. He led the Indian national basketball team to a historic victory against China during the FIBA Asia Cup. He conducted a training camp and coaches clinic in the Ivory Coast of Africa in 2012. He was the first coach hired by Donnie Nelson when the latter purchased the Texas Legends team. Flemming has a coaching record of 440-273 over a 22-year college coaching career and has been selected as the National Coach of the Year on two occasions.

From 1982 to 1984, Scott Flemming worked as an Admissions Counselor and Assistant Basketball Coach at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He held a role as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Wheaton College from 1984 to 1986. Additionally, he served as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of South Alabama from 1986 to 1987 and worked as Athletic Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach at Nyack College from 1987 to 1990. Early in his career, Scott was the Lead Singer for the band Deliverance from 1976 to 1982.
