Before joining NBA Africa, Victor Williams had an extensive career with Standard Bank Group. From 2011 to 2020, he held various leadership roles, including Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for Africa Regions (2015-2020), Head of Corporate and Investment Banking in Nigeria (2013-2015), and Regional Head of Corporate & Investment Banking in East Africa (2011-2013). Victor Williams' career also includes significant roles in major financial institutions. He served as Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at Wells Fargo Securities from 2003 to 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Additionally, he worked at Goldman Sachs as Vice President from 1998 to 2003 and started his career as an Analyst at Cornerstone Research from 1993 to 1996.
Education Background
Victor Williams holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Harvard Business School, which he obtained between 1996 and 1998. He also earned an ScB/AB in Applied Math/Economics from Brown University, where he studied from 1989 to 1993. Additionally, he completed his International Baccalaureate Diploma at UWC-USA from 1987 to 1989, and achieved O’Level with Distinction at Prince of Wales School in Freetown, Sierra Leone, from 1981 to 1987.
