Additionally, he served as a Site Reliability Engineer at Podium from 2018 to 2020 and as a Frontend Engineer at GitLab Inc. for three months in 2016.
Education and Expertise
Ravsten holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business, where he studied from 2014 to 2017. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Cybersecurity & Compliance and Venture Capital from the University of Utah in 2021. He also studied General Studies at Idaho State University from 2011 to 2012. His educational background supports his expertise in cybersecurity and operational management.
Technical Skills and Contributions
In his various roles, Ravsten has developed and deployed testing suites, including Datadog Synthetics Browser tests and Jest API and unit tests. He has implemented security measures such as Cloudflare Bot protection, WAF, and Analytics. His experience includes utilizing GitLab Ultimate for vulnerability scanning and security policy implementation, as well as integrating Datadog SIEM, APM, and RUM for anomaly detection. Additionally, he has applied the AWS Well-Architected Framework to optimize cloud infrastructure.
