Gledson Lima completed his secondary education at Colégio Anglo Latino from 1995 to 1997. He furthered his maritime education at Centro de Instrução Almirante Braz de Aguiar, where he studied Técnico em Navegação and completed the Curso de Formação de Aquaviários from 2001 to 2002. He has also completed all courses required by the Brazilian Navy, which include various safety and operational training.
