Experienced Senior Trial Attorney with extensive Litigation and First Chair Trial experience. Licensed in NY, CA, DC & all Federal Courts.Currently I an a Senior Trial Attorney for AIG's Staff Counsel, a well respected in-house Insurance Defense Firm specializing on labor law, construction defects, defending large property owners and mangers of some of NYC's most famous and historic buildings. As an insurance defense firm located in NYC I am responsible for the defense of major construction companies working on large construction projects of all types. I have defended The City of NY and other City agencies along with many major General Contractors, Property Owners & Managers and Large Vehicle fleets and product liability matters and insurance coverage issues. I handle cases from inception through trial. This involves a large degree of investigation and client contact at early stages of litigation and visits to the actual site of the loss with expert witnesses. I work very closely with an assembled team of experts. We focus on early resolution of matters through mediation or direct negotiation and where needed an aggressive defense of the client throughout the entire litigation process. This also involves a large degree of motion practice. Started my career as a Deputy District Attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area of CA where I worked for several years investigating and prosecuting serious felony matters. Moved laterally to the Kings County (Brooklyn) District Attorney's Office as a Senior Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Felony Trial Bureau and was assigned to the elite Sex Crimes/Special Victims Unit. I have a passion for litigation. Have experience as well as advanced medical training from local hospitals and medical professionals. My background includes prosecuting several homocides and special victims cases to verdict. I am an elected member of the NYC Department of Education's Community Education Council.
