About Nazifa Alam
I am a dedicated student always looking to challenge myself. I intend to invest myself in several accounting/finance roles, specifically in cost accounting and forecasting in order to climb up the ranks in a private business or public corporation. Education is an invaluable asset that my family has always taken seriously. I have received many honors in high school related to Accounting. I am currently a sophomore at Wagner College, and I am currently enrolled in the honors program, and have received scholarship for Becker Professional Eduation Last semester, I was nominated as a secretary of the Accounting Society. Community service is also important to me. I did many volunteer services in high school, and recently, in January, I volunteered for a fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis. Exploring my leadership opportunities, I am the secretary of the Accounting Society on campus. Constantly striving to improve my community and myself, I started tutoring accounting students when I was a freshman in college. I started as an independent volunteer position.I have not done any internship or have had any experience with Profit or Non-profit accounting firms, but I am diligently seeking for any position available. I am determined to gain any experience available on big firms this summer. Any intership or work experience available for me, please let me know.
