About Dayten Israel, J.D.
Dayten Aberaham Israel is an accomplished leader, young professional, community advocate, and champion of Oklahoma entrepreneurship. Previously, Dayten began his professional career as a Strategic Communication Lead with the Tom Love Innovation Hub, where he centralized all marketing operations and spearheaded new branding initiatives that generated a significant increase in social engagement and program involvement. He later transitioned to supporting an emerging program under the Tom Love Innovation Hub, Startup Programs, where he served as a Startup Specialist and, later, Entrepreneurship Fellow. In these roles, Dayten created the founding architecture for the organization’s community and accelerator programs. Dayten was later appointed to Startup Director and spearheaded the development and launch of several experiential initiatives, startup competitions, and funding streams. He also restructured and expanded the organization’s incubation and other launch programs, soon managing a portfolio of early-stage startups that have secured more than $3M in early funding. As part of this restructuring effort, Dayten rebranded and relaunched the organization as Startup OU, a thriving entrepreneurship hub that champions the next generation of founders and ecosystem builders. In addition to his university role, Dayten is also the founder of a boutique law firm, Launchpointe Legal, that caters to aspiring and early-stage founders in central Oklahoma, assisting nascent businesses in navigating complex legal transactions and serving as startup general counsel. Prior to and concurrent with establishing his own firm, Dayten also served as founding architect of the University of Oklahoma Entrepreneurial Law Center, the first such center in the State of Oklahoma. Dayten serves as a Legal Advisor to the center, advising law and business students in best practices and considerations in executing legal transactions for regional startups. Dayten aims to continually collaborate across local and regional networks to develop and engage the emerging entrepreneurial ecosystem in central Oklahoma. He currently serves on the Norman Small Business Council and leads the organizing team for 1 Million Cups Norman. Dayten holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in strategic communication, as well as a juris doctorate and legal certification in transactional and business law. In addition to his education, Dayten also holds an Entrepreneurship Center Management certification from the International Business Innovation Association.
