About Nakell Baker
How are you feeling today?I am a highly empathetic person, so how you are feeling is very important to me. Being this empathetic makes me a great team member and leader, all in one. I thrive on building relationships and maximizing potential- not only in people, but in processes and knowledge. This connection to people = reliable. I have a personal responsibility to do what I say I’ll do. I accomplish this through planning, problem solving, and communication. But it also means I know how complex humans and situations can be. Being flexible and adaptive are qualities I pride myself in.Currently, I served my passion for people as the assistant director of the career studio at the University of Arkansas. Previously I served as an international student success navigator at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I advised students, advocated for them, and educated the community about how resilient international students are. I have also served my people passion as the philanthropy specialist at the PIKE Foundation, where I connected undergraduate members to ways they can contribute to their organization’s legacy. Outside of work, I focus on living intentionally and more sustainably with my two cats. You can find me planning my next trip, catching up with friends, or taking a nap.
