Rod Robinson is currently Senior Vice President at Insight Sourcing Group and leads the firm's Supplier Diversity practice and Center of Excellence. Prior to joining Insight, Rod was Vice President of Supplier Inclusion & Sustainability at Coupa Software. Prior to Coupa, he was the founder and CEO of ConnXus, Inc., a cloud procurement platform that enables Global 2000 companies to achieve supply chain objectives related to supply chain transparency, diversity, sustainability and economic impact. Rod led the company from start-up through multiple rounds of venture capital financings, 628% revenue growth (2013-2018), building an enterprise customer base including some of the world's leading brands and ultimate acquisition by Coupa on May 4, 2020. Prior to founding ConnXus, Rod was a seasoned procurement executive with deep strategic sourcing expertise. His expertise comes from over 25 years of experience as a Chief Procurement Officer for a Fortune 1000 Telecom and as a management consultant with global consultancies including Kearney, Diamond Partners (now PWC) and Accenture where he was a procurement subject matter expert. He served large multinational clients on large-scale procurement initiatives that resulted in billions in annual cost savings. Rod holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Dun & Bradstreet fellowship recipient. Rod was recognized by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2012. He is an advisory board member of the Techstars Foundation, an organization focused on increasing diversity in tech entrepreneurship. In 2017, Rod was appointed to Miami University’s board of trustees by Ohio Governor John Kasich. Rod also serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship at Miami.
