She has also been Director of Engineering for the Kentucky Public Service Commission and was the Commissioner of General Services for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government.

Kimra Cole serves on the boards of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Lexington Partnership. She is also a member of the executive council of the Southern Gas Association and the Dean’s Advisory Council for the University of Kentucky College of Engineering. Kimra Cole is a native of Richmond, Kentucky, and currently resides in Lexington. She is married to Bob Cole, who is the president of The Coleman Group, a commercial real estate and property management firm. They have two children, Alec and Ashton.
