He also completed postdoctoral fellowships at Duke University School of Medicine, focusing on tumor microcirculation, and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying carcinogenesis. Additionally, he earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Louisville and a B.A. in Music - Jazz Performance from Bellarmine University.
