Prior to his current position, Löwenhielm held various roles in the renewable energy sector. He was the Founder and CEO of Alight from 2013 to 2018, where he contributed to the growth of the company by providing solar power solutions to large corporates, utilities, and public sector organizations. He also served as Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Board at Svensk Solenergi from 2017 to 2022, focusing on solar energy initiatives in Sweden.

Löwenhielm has a diverse educational background. He studied at Uppsala University, focusing on Peace and Conflict Studies, and achieved proficiency in Russian Language and Literature.
