About Solon Christensen Szalanski
I love the ambiguity and complexity of life, people, and business. The more ambiguous the situation, the more it indicates the presence of a fun, intellectual challenge that requires creativity. I relish having the opportunity to challenge the status quo, and to achieve positive change through collaboration with others. I’m a second year grad student in the Kellogg MMM program, a highly selective dual MBA/M.S. Design Innovation degree program. The MMM coursework emphasizes data-driven business decision-making, digital and programming proficiency, and user-driven design. Human-centered design tenets are at the core of the MMM program. I built on this coursework with a summer internship at frog design, a leading global design and strategy firm, where I lived and breathed human-centered design within a creative-first environment. I’m interested in opportunities that are intellectually challenging, require constant creativity, and strive to integrate quantitative data insights with the often messy nuances of human needs, desires, and potential.
