I am an experienced registered dietitian with over 12 years of clinical, corporate wellness, and food & nutrition coaching expertise. I also have a proven record in writing and culinary mastery. I’m committed to help people discover the connections between great food, physical activity, and optimal health, and to inspire them to act on intrinsic motivators toward behavior change that enhances quality and quantity of life. I utilize motivational interviewing techniques and intuitive eating concepts, specializing in wellness and disease prevention, heart health, weight loss/management, and celiac disease. I help people sort myth from evidence-based nutrition information and communicate complex sensitive dietary topics to clients in an understanding way. I also have an extensive background in writing and editing content for blogs, social media, newsletters, recipes, presentations, and nutrition education. My goal is to empower the population to pursue their own healthy lifestyle interventions that result in improved health, disease prevention and optimal disease management, and elevated overall well-being through food & nutrition counseling, writing and other media communications. I also love to cook and share my cooking competence on my blog, The Marching Apron, to help people grow gluten-free cooking knowledge, skills, and confidence so they can serve deliciously balanced gluten-free meals with ease. I carefully create, test, and perfect recipes and provide nutrition expertise to help people cook fearlessly gluten-free and delight the taste buds of all around the table.
