About Erik Lammerding
I’m passionate about the intersection of entrepreneurship with new consumer products, platforms, and technologies that celebrate the passions, interests, and unique experiences of billions of people around the world. A little more about me. I’m fortunate to have spent 12 years working with the world class team at Apple to launch the iOS developer platform. In my role as Senior Manager, Worldwide Developer Relations, I was one of the founding members of the iOS developer team where I was specifically responsible for shepherding consumer apps onto iOS. These apps included Airbnb, Instagram, Twitter, Netflix, Time Warner, Electronic Arts, Time Warner, Conde Nast, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, MLB Advanced Media, Zynga, and more. As you can imagine, it was a wild ride. Since leaving Apple in 2013, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute platform and business expertise to an experimental product with the founders of NGMOCO, advise GoPRO on launching a developer platform, and hook up with some fantastic for-profit and non-profit startups from Mighty Networks to Strava, Layer, Charitywater.org, Thorn.org, the Moxie Institute and more as they navigate hypergrowth and what it means to build an ecosystem around a product.
