Hailey Goldberg is currently a Scientist-in-Residence at The New York Academy of Sciences, where she has been working since 2021. Additionally, she serves as a Graduate Student Teaching Adjunct at New York University, teaching principles of biology. Since 2020, she has also been a Graduate Student Research Intern at NYU Langone Health. In her teaching role, she leverages her in-depth knowledge in biology to educate undergraduate students.
Previous Professional Experience
Hailey has a robust background in leadership and research roles from her time at the University of Georgia. She was Standards Chair and Vice President of Recruitment for Sigma Delta Tau from 2017 to 2020. She also served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences for two years, conducting research in various biological fields.
Education Background in Biology and Biotechnology
Hailey Goldberg earned a Master of Science degree in Biology, specializing in Recombinant DNA Technology, from New York University between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, she completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Biotechnology through the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from 2016 to 2020. Alongside her major, she pursued a minor in Philosophy at the University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
Graduate Research at NYU
Currently, Hailey is in her second year of the MS Biology program at NYU, following the DNA Recombinant Technology Track. She is engaged in completing her master's thesis in Michele Pagano’s lab at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Her research primarily focuses on genetics and precision medicine, fields in which she seeks to further her exploration through potential PhD studies.

Hailey Goldberg is passionate about genetics and precision medicine. After completing her master’s degree, she aims to enroll in a PhD program to deepen her expertise in these areas. Her long-term career goals include making significant contributions to the fields of genetics and precision medicine through advanced research and practical applications.
