Salma Antao has a strong educational background, having studied Finance at Bangalore University, where she earned a degree in Business Management from 2000 to 2003. She also holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Wales, Cardiff, completed between 2005 and 2007. In addition, she achieved a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from APMG - Impetus in 2009 and a LEAN Six Sigma - Green Belt certification from Revive Group in 2015. Her expertise includes HR Technology and Digital Employee Experience tools such as Workday, Tableau, SAP, Success Factors, and Salesforce.

Before joining OANDA, Salma Antao accumulated extensive experience in various HR roles. She worked at Scotiabank as Director of Global HR Services Operations from 2017 to 2021 and held the position of Head of HR Operations and Analytics at Capital One from 2016 to 2017. Her earlier roles include Change Management, Communications & Training Lead at Al-Futtaim from 2008 to 2011, and HR Operations Manager from 2011 to 2013. She also served as Head of Human Resources Operations at Al-Futtaim from 2013 to 2016 and worked as a Training Lead at Hewlett-Packard from 2004 to 2007.
