Prabha Pillai has a solid educational foundation in computer science and human resources. She studied at Bangalore University, where she earned a Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering from 1996 to 1999. She furthered her education at the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, achieving a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) with a focus on HR from 2010 to 2012. Her early education was completed at St. Felix High School from 1984 to 1994.
