Claire Lyons has held multiple positions at Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator, since 2004. Currently, she serves as the Head of European Spectrum Policy & External Affairs, a role she has occupied since 2018. Prior to this position, she worked as the International Policy Manager from 2014 to 2018, and as the Senior Policy Manager for a brief period in 2013 to 2014. Additionally, she was the Head of TV Broadcast Licensing from 2007 to 2008 and served as the Policy Manager for Spectrum Markets from 2004 to 2007.

Before her current role at Ofcom, Claire Lyons worked at the Media Zone Authority in Abu Dhabi, where she was the Companies Registrar and Head of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs from 2008 to 2011. Her career began at Kingston Communications, where she worked as a Manager from 1993 to 1997, and she later served as a Senior Consultant at Hedra from 2003 to 2004.
