About Brian McLaughlin
Brian McLaughlin has decades of combined experience in corporate finance, and perishable natural fresh food and ag-tech segments as an executive, advisor and board member. Brian joined Landec Corp, in 2015 as CFO of its fresh food group and rose to CFO of the parent, Landec, a public company. Prior to Landec, he served as CFO of organicgirl, Eurofresh Farms, Driscoll’s and Fresh Express. While at these companies, Brian was responsible for all finance, accounting, and IT functions, and participated heavily in strategic and growth planning, operational processes, and the assessment and execution of strategic options. Prior to that, Brian spent many years at Wells Fargo / First Interstate Bank focusing on corporate and middle market banking, large real estate construction financing, and restructurings / workouts. Brian currently provides advisory, board and consulting services to a variety of investment funds and companies operating in the perishable natural fresh food and ag-tech spaces. At present, Brian sits on the boards of Hazel Technologies and Portville Citrus (largest provider of citrus to Sunkist), and on the operating advisory board of Pairwise. Previously, Brian was a board member at Windset Farms (2020) and Fresh Express (from 1988 to 2001), at which time Fresh Express was the pioneer and national market leader in the value-added package salad segment.
