He worked as a researcher in Microbiology at Virginia Tech from 2012 to 2014 and in Cell Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, he served as a Graduate Research Assistant in Bioengineering at the University of Washington from 2015 to 2019. His early career also included a brief role at the US Department of Transportation in 2010.
