Todd Miller has led growth equity and buyout investments over the last twenty years. His investment interests are concentrated in business services, financial services/technology and media. Recent investments include include Payoneer, LegalZoom, Everfi, SESAC (acquired by Blackstone), Kony and RealD. Prior investments include SPi Technologies (acquired by PLTD), Symphony Teleca (acquired by Harman), Sentient (acquired by Jet Direct), Bonded Media (acquired by Iron Mountain), Aspen Marketing (acquired by Epsilon), 4R Systems, Marketmax (acquired by SAS), and the spinout of Financial Partners Fund from Citibank. Many of his investments over the last decade have a secondary element (i.e., providing liquidity to shareholders seeking an exit earlier than the other shareholders in the company). This typically entails purchasing a non-controlling stake in a business from either a minority investor (co-investor, rollover shareholder, lender, founder, etcetera) or controlling shareholder seeking to sell down. Todd is currently a Partner of W Capital, a private equity firm. He was formerly a Managing Director of TH Lee's growth equity fund (TH Lee Putnam), Partner of Alpine Capital, a merchant bank founded by the former principals of Time Warner, and a Managing Director of Paul Capital . He began his career at Merrill Lynch in the financial intuitions group specializing in M&A.
