About Shahar Ziv

I am passionate about empowering people to improve their financial health through technology, innovation, and education. I am a seasoned executive with extensive experience at the intersection of financial services, payments, operations, and technology. In my current role as the Vice President of Enterprise Services Product and Strategy, I help shape strategies around how PayPal offers products to answer the diverse financial needs of consumers and merchants. My current responsibilities include driving strategic enterprise-wide initiatives around Digital Trust & Engagement and a rewiring of the end-to-end servicing experience to be more customer centric as well as leading the company's Enterprise Services Product teams (Identity, Risk, Compliance, Customer Service, and Privacy). I sit on the Administrative and Investment Committee of PayPal's 401(k) Savings Plan and also represent PayPal at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Digital Trust working group. As an unabashed male ally, I sit on the leadership team of Unity, PayPal’s enterprise resource group focused on empowering women and enabling their personal and career growth. I am a dynamic speaker and have been invited to present my thought leadership at events such as the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Paythink's Payment Conference, the Credit Union National Association's CEO roundtable, Missouri Banker's Association yearly conference, and many others. I often speak at credit union strategy off-sites to help executives demystify the driving forces in payments and help them embrace disruption. As an experienced educator, I am also skilled at simplifying the complex, sometimes intimidating world of personal finance and guiding students and employees on the path to financial wellness. I co-founded a popular personal financial management course at Harvard that I have taught for the past 13 years. I have also had the privilege of working with students at Wharton, Columbia, NYU, University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins as well as lawyers at Skadden, Debevoise, and Schulte, resident physicians at Mount Sinai Hospital and through the New England Journal of Medicine, and employees at Doordash. I am a contributing writer for Forbes where I regularly share financial advice with tens of millions of readers. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell University with a BA in Economics and earned my MBA from Harvard Business School. I proudly serve on the Board of Directors of the Harvard University Employees Credit Union (HUECU). I am a Kilimanjaro summiter, dessert enthusiast, and Counting Crows fan.
