About Michael Kopko
With over 14 years of experience in the healthcare industry, I am passionate about transforming and simplifying the complex system of healthcare delivery and financing. As the CEO and co-Founder of Pearl Health, I lead a team of talented and dedicated professionals who are committed to designing and delivering a more intelligent and accessible healthcare system. Before founding Pearl Health, I held various leadership roles at Oscar Health, one of the fastest-growing and most innovative health insurance companies in the US. I was responsible for Oscar's largest P&L, driving premium growth, profitability, and risk mitigation. I also led the network contracting and business development teams, building and maintaining partnerships with over 100 hospitals, tens of thousands of physicians, and a complete network of providers across the country. I leveraged my skills in customer relationship management, strategy, and new business development to create value for Oscar and its members. Prior to that I managed the research and investment team at Bridgewater Associates under Ray Dalio and the firms CIO's to help them develop and implement strategy to generate alpha through their marco economic investment strategy. I have an MBA from Columbia Business School, where I was a Feldberg Fellow, and a BA in Economics from Harvard University. I also have a patent in educational funding. I am always eager to learn new things and challenge myself. I believe that great teams make anything possible, and that's why I am focused on building a strong and diverse culture at Pearl Health, where everyone can thrive and make a positive impact on our healthcare system and society.
