Background
Before joining PGS, Chris James worked at Caplin Systems as a Systems Consultant (Product Manager) from 1995 to 1997. He also gained experience at Avnet as a Systems Support Engineer for six months in 1997 and at Morse as a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant in 1997. His early career laid the foundation for his extensive expertise in systems management and support.
Achievements
During his tenure at PGS, Chris James has led significant projects, including the rollout of Titan class chassis-based high-performance computing systems. He served as project lead and onsite lead engineer for deploying production systems on multiple vessel riggings. Additionally, he implemented GPU clusters across the fleet, achieving a more than 15-fold increase in processing algorithm speed. He is also responsible for the oversight of annual CAPEX and OPEX management.
