Andrea Goh has been employed at Pixar Animation Studios since 2016, currently holding the position of Layout (Camera & Staging) Lead. In this role, she has contributed significantly to various projects, including the development of the Buzz Lightyear feature film, where she served as one of the two leads in the Camera & Staging department. Her responsibilities involve overseeing camera placement and staging to enhance storytelling through visual composition.
Education and Expertise
Andrea Goh has a strong educational background in animation and visual effects. She earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in 3D Modeling in Animation & Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University in 2013, following an 11-month program. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Character TD and 3D Modeling from the same institution, completed between 2014 and 2016. Additionally, she obtained a Diploma in Digital Animation from The One Academy, where she studied from 2010 to 2012.
Previous Experience
Before her current role at Pixar, Andrea Goh gained experience as a Technical Director Intern at Pixar Animation Studios in 2015 for two months. She also worked briefly at Netflix in 2018 as a Layout TD / Rigger for two months. These positions allowed her to develop her skills in technical direction and rigging, contributing to her diverse skill set in CG, live action, and photography.
