Kovalchak began his career as an intern in the Fixed Income Trading Department at Troika Dialog in 2011. He then worked as a Trader on the Quantitative trading desk at Dragon Capital for three months in 2012. His early experience also includes a role as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company from 2012 to 2015, where he contributed to various projects across the EMEA region.

In addition to his roles at Wargaming and iDeals Solutions Group, Dima Kovalchak worked as an Associate at One Equity Partners from 2017 to 2018 in Frankfurt Am Main Area, Germany. He also served as a Private Equity Associate at Dragon Capital for eight months in 2015 to 2016 in Ukraine, where he focused on investment analysis and portfolio management.
