About Tymm Zerr
As a Senior Flight Software Engineer at Planet Labs, I have been one of the primary embedded developers of the onboard control systems for Planet's Superdove and Pelican satellites for over eight years. I have been involved in every stage of the design and coding process, from defining and implementing telemetry, message passing, sensor and actuator, debugging, event, and time subsystems, to developing hardware drivers, bootloaders, and remote troubleshooting tools. I have a passion for solving complex technical challenges and delivering robust and efficient solutions for embedded systems. I have a wide background in hardware and software design, development, and support, ranging from internet protocol and operating system R&D, to high performance computing clustering software, to optical sensing and music keyboard firmware. I have a master's degree in interactive communications from New York University.
