Education and Training of Jorge B. Merced
Jorge B. Merced is a well-educated and extensively trained theater professional. He graduated from the Escuela Libre de Música in Puerto Rico before pursuing further studies at the CUNY City College Theater Department in New York City. Merced also trained in Cuba at the International Theater School for Latin America and The Caribbean (EITALC 89) under prominent figures such as Osvaldo Dragún, Eugenio Barba, Miguel Rubio, and Teresa Ralli. Advanced studies in Forum Theater took him to Brazil and France, where he trained with Augusto Boal, a pioneer in this theater methodology.
