Prior to his current role, he was the Head Coach of the Denver Outlaws from 2011 to 2013 and the Charlotte Hounds in Major League Lacrosse from 2016 to 2018. He also served as the Head Lacrosse Coach at Rutgers University for ten years, from 2001 to 2011, and at Washington and Lee University for eleven years, from 1990 to 2001. His diverse coaching experiences have shaped his approach to team dynamics and performance optimization.

Jim Stagnitta earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied from 1980 to 1984. His educational background, combined with his coaching experience, informs his leadership style and his ability to develop effective team cultures. He also attended East Syracuse-Minoa High School from 1976 to 1980, where he began his journey in athletics.
