About David E. Goldman
My career has been divided between traditional and digital media, including technology that supports digital media. As a talent agent and personal manager I worked with actors such as Will Smith, directors such as Roland Emmerich, musicians such as Mick Jagger and television personalities such as Seth Meyers. I have had overall television production deals for my companies at Viacom, 20th Century Fox and ABC/Disney. In 2004 I was approached by Sprint about creating a comedy channel for Sprint TV at the onset of mobile video. I accepted the challenge and created the Comedy Time network and forged distribution partnerships for the network with major Telcos both in the U.S. and internationally, most of the major broadband and OTT distribution platforms, and cable and broadcast television. I have overseen production of over 1,000 hours of digital content and have won Media Week’s “Media Plan of the Year” award for the creation of a branded mobile channel for Lionsgate. My digital media experience led to opportunities in Media Tech where I was able to introduce cutting edge media related technology to the marketplace. This includes technology related to automated video creation, VR/AR, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Secure Cloud solutions. I began my entertainment career working directly under the CEO in the operations and management of the William Morris Agency, the largest talent agency at the time. In this capacity I oversaw the music department and handled business affairs matters for both the Agency and its major clients. Subsequently I became a talent agent representing directors, actors and musicians and worked at both William Morris Agency and its competitor ICM as SVP Motion Pictures. I am graduate of UCLA Law and licensed to practice law in the State of California.
